Hi guys, my current 1 rep max which i did about 2 weeks ago for bench press is 75 kg or 165 lb. Atm im repping 150 lb for 5 reps. My birthday is coming up in 2 months 3 weeks time. Do you brahs think i can 1 rep max 225 or 100 kg for bench by then? 165>225 which is 60 lb to improve my 1rm in 3 months, possible?

      I would be surprised.
But if you work your ass off and eat your ass off then it's possible.
      Good luck

yeah, ive only been training for nearly 4 months total now at a 165 lb 1rm, since i started training/SS ive gained 50 lb on my 1rm, i go gym 3x a week i might have to up that to 4-5 times a week. i calculated that (3 x a week) bench 3 times a fortnight=6 times total in 1 month, 6 times a month x 5 pound increase everytime x 3 months= 90 lb, 150+90=240 lb 3x5 (thats if i dont stall which wil be nearly impossible) ive estimated that i will up the weight every 2 times i = +45 to 150=195 lb 3x5. estimated 1rm of 225= 200 lb 3x5, which im short of by 5 lb. so ive worked out if i go gym at least 4-5 times my bench might be able to be 100 kg 1rm (225lb) is this possible right?

being realistic, it would be very hard to do in sub 3 months time.

you need to gain another ~20kg on your 5rm to equate to a 100kg 1rm. Maybe you can do it, but i wouldnt count on it.

Hard to say, depends on a lot of things. My best guess is 4-5 months from now, could take longer, could be shorter.

yeah, as long as i hit 100 kg before the end of the year which is highly possible, 6 months away id still be proud of myself, and my goal for squats too is 100 kg for 10+ reps by end of year, deads 15+

You realise you will not get linear progression forever?
Your gains will slow down soon, hopefully for you not too soon
