      It seems like it would be very safe to squat and bench on. A power cage is too tall for most of my ceilings, I wouldn't be able to do chin ups. So this is really the next best thing.

      What do you guys think?

      If your going to have a home gym don't buy cheap stuff

      I'm not buying it because its cheap, I'm buying it because its practical. A power rack is not practical for me as I don't have all that much room for it, and this thing looks like the next safest rack.

      i don't see how you are going to bench on this, but it seems pretty ok for squats.

      Maximum user capacity - racks and spotters 270kg, dips 180kg

      If you dont ever plan to squat that much, go ahead.

      I only have a standard barbell right now, but its good quality. If I do buy a squat rack of some sort I will definitely upgrade to an Olympic barbell.

      The problem with the power rack is that its too tall to the point where I couldn't do chin ups on it.

      The weights will cost atleast twice as much as the squat rack

      Couldn't I just use my standard barbell until the weights get too heavy for the bar?
