OP, Check out this thread if you haven’t already:

Emma-Leigh, Calculating Calorie Needs and Macronutrients: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=121703981

You can use MyFitnessPal.com, Fitday.com or Livestrong.com to track your intake.

Protein = 4 calories per gram
Carbohydrates = 4 calories per gram
Alcohol = 7 calories per gram
Fat = 9 calories per gram

Mix and match in order to hit your macros.

Personally, I'm able to drop weight pretty good at 2300 calories a day. I'm a insulin dependent diabetic who fits the metabolic syndrome outline.

Did you not read the part where (several times now) it has been stated that the OP is probably not counting correctly or at all?

Why don't we hold off on the OP giving us some more info before this thread evolves into another p*ssing match.

Where the hell did you come up with 1500 calories for a grown man of his size?

      1500 calories is rediculously low.

OP your calorie tracking is either off or you have a medical condition that you don't know about. It's really that simple. Kimm is spot on get the medical stuff checked first if that's all good then your diets way off.
