      Eating before lifting

      Generally, you don't want to feel full or stuffed, although it varies from person to person. It's basically all preference.

      I would personally recommend eating about 45 minutes to an hour before lifting, and stick to complex carbs and protein. Since carbs are your energy, having a good supply of energy before your workout would benefit you. I would not recommend foods with an excessive amount of fat in them, but that's just my preference.
