Your body is a fat storing machine. It stores fat for energy, thats why fat is there, it doesnt havea function like muscle does, its just there as stored energy. This means, your body will always go to your fat stores for energy first. You'd have to fast for 48 hours for it to tap into muscle

Didn't mean it that way they are big af. But they are eating like they have anorexia. 1800 calories a day for THEM... Thats something I would eat if I decided to cut.
Just trying to clear things up because its pretty confusing.

Sunday is there cheat day they go 20 hours without eating then eating there meals in 4 hour window

well they say that during the 16 hour "starvation" period that the body produces more gh. and studies have shown that it takes about 48 hours of not eating anything at all for the body to start burning muscle as energy. if you think about it it makes sense. the body stores fat as energy so why would it go for the muscle? it defeats the whole purpose of he body storing fat for energy.

You have a point. Then what is the purpose of creating a calorie deficit? They are still in a deficit since they are cutting on IF. Wouldn't THAT be the actual reason that they are losing fat?
