One thing worth adding is that exercise doesn’t have to be particularly intense to help. A walk, a light gym session, or simply getting outside and moving can provide some structure to the day and interrupt the cycle of sitting alone with your thoughts.

The difficult part is often getting started, especially when someone is already feeling low or anxious. Setting a very small target - perhaps a ten-minute walk rather than a full workout - can make it feel more manageable. If it helps, that can then be gradually increased.

Exercise certainly isn’t a replacement for professional support, medication, or therapy when these are needed, but it can be a useful part of a wider approach.

Has anyone here found that one particular form of exercise helps their mood more than others?
