Many people assume fitness declines automatically with age.

      But is that actually true?

I'm seeing more people in their 40s, 50s and even 60s in better shape than they were in their 20s.

How do you compare with yourself 10 years ago?
      • Stronger?
      • Fitter?
      • Healthier?
      • More knowledgeable?
      • Or trying to get back to where you once were?
I'd be interested to hear everyone's story.

I'd probably say fitter overall, even if I'm not quite as strong as I was in my thirties.

I recover a bit slower these days, so I train differently, but I'm definitely more consistent. Back then, I'd have weeks where I'd train really hard, followed by weeks where I'd hardly go at all.

These days, I don't try to beat my younger self; I just try to stay active and healthy, and keep improving where I can.

I'd be interested to hear how everyone else measures progress as they get older. Is it strength, bodyweight, blood pressure, energy levels...or something else?
