      I used to think “no pain, no gain” was the ultimate rule for progress. But honestly, pushing through pain set me back more than once.

      Curious - what's a fitness or gym belief you followed for a while… then realised wasn’t true or helpful?

      What changed your mind?

      A few decades ago when I was in college the beefy guys (likely 'roided up and dosing creatine as well) were all about, "No pain, no gain!!" I didn't believe that before college, didn't believe it during college and don't believe it now over two decades after I graduated college.
