      I've heard that riding a bike is good for bodybuilders. Is it true? Do you have any experience with it?

      I don't know if it is good for bodybuilders but I have heard it is a great way of building up stamaina and your legs, I'm in the process of saving up to buy a stationary bike for my home gym.

      Cycling is a popular form of cardio among bodybuilders because it is low-impact. Training with heavy weights takes its toll on your joints and high-impact cardio is not ideal because it can be detrimental to recovery. You can vary the intensity of your cycling without causing harm to your joints.

      I like to cycle but my bike currently has a puncture, I need to sort it out.

      I guess that is a bonus about getting a stationary bike, no danger of getting a puncture, or the chain repeatedly falling off. :p

      Yeah bikes are good for cardio. My mom has a stationary bike. I never use it though because I find it very boring like a treadmill. Unless of course I have headphones in. Her bike has an option to incline too, making it more versitle for her workouts.

      Oh that is a good idea. I can even scale it up and watch a movie that I really want to see lol.

      Just don't do what my fiancee did with her, use it once and now it is covered is clothes in the corner of her room. :D

      Bikes are awesome, they're cardio, which is always important, and they also bulk up the legs which a lot of people seem to neglect. If you don't do your legs (specifically quads) as often as you should then incorporate some bike work in your routine.

      Riding a bike can be an extremely effective workout. I once did a spin class when I had a gym membership and it was no joke. I was sweating and struggling to finish. But they have you standing up and down while riding, as well as short intervals of extreme intensity. I think you would get fit and lose weight quite significantly if you were doing a workout like that everyday. I find I can't push myself at home on my stationary bike, nor is it on par with the bikes available at the gym.
