So I hit the gym 3 times a week. Monday- I do chest, biceps, and triceps. Tuesday- I do back, shoulders, and legs. Thursday or Friday is a full body day so I do them all. My routine is 3 sets of 8. For each body part I hit machines and free weights, I usually do about 6-10 exercising per body part. So for example I do like 10 different exercising for my chest, that means 30 sets of 8 just for chest. Now other body parts Im probably going around 20-25 sets for that body part. Am I over training this? And people often ask me do I feel sore after workouts, the question is really no. I could probably come back later and do it all again. IDK why im not tired, im going up in weight on the exercises to try and wear me out and im not getting sore. I tend to see a lot of people only doing maybe 3 exercises per body part and getting big, am I doing this all wrong with alot of exercises?

      Damn.

Yeah, you could halve your volume. At least. I don't think you overtrain since it's you at least don't do it too often, but it's way too much per session.
Do you have time to go to the gym more often? If so, consider doing each body part twice a week but keep sets around 8-15, depending on the body part.

But I've been going to the gym for close to 2 years, IDK if that'd be a good idea. Plus some of the workouts, aren't at my gym.

I have a youtube channel that shows my workout for my body parts if you'd like to check it out and tell me for yourself which I should drop and up.

      Here's your problem captain.

Reduce that to 1 or 2 and hit THOSE exercises hard as balls and you'll start gaining, probably without changing anything else.

Are your reps until failure? I mean, 30 sets of 8/until failure would be brutal for most people.

      A) use a reasonable program that focuses on progressive overload on the major lifts

      B) eat in a slight caloric surplus to supply new muscle mass

you have not been doing one or both. which one is it?

      well...

A), you are not using a reasonable program...the overall strategy of 2 days split and 1 full body could work...but what you are doing during those days sounds retarded. if you do 30 sets of 8 for chest...you are not working hard enough...and I can't imagine you are lifting any significant weight.

      B) if you are not growing, then you are not eating.
