The trapezius muscles are located in the upper back and play an important role in shoulder movement and posture. Stretching these muscles can help relieve tension and improve mobility. Here’s how to stretch the trapezius muscles properly:

    • Stand or sit up straight and lower your shoulders away from your ears.
    • Tilt your head to the right, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. Use your right hand to gently pull your head further to the right, feeling a stretch in the left trapezius.
    • Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, then release and repeat on the other side.
    • You can also do this stretch by holding onto a stable object with one hand and leaning your body to the opposite side, feeling the stretch in the trapezius on the stretched side.

Remember to breathe deeply throughout the stretch and never force your body into a painful position.
