And looking at CJ's transformation do you think being a sponsored athlete helps ?

It makes it your " job " then, and IMO followoing on from the motivation l have had form Paul Scarb " prepping " me l think it gives you added to drive to produce the goods.

I know we should all have our own motivations etc but from my own personal experience l think it could help certain people ( myself included ) to reach another level.

Imagine the thought of the humiliation of losing your sponsor becuase you didnt make the grade ?

      Thoughts ?

Ps I use the word " prep " losely, not because of Paul but this was a sort pf prep for a holiday and not a show.

Its not about money mate, its about a few free sups and someone putitng faith in you as an " athlete " and the fact they feel you can produce the goods.

So if they only get a few free supps etc, how do the ppl who take peds, afford it all?

I sort of thought that an organization would say 'here's £xxx for you expenses, & if you win you'll get proper sponsorship'

Coz otherwise isn't it only the ppl with spare dosh that can do it? Or have I got it completely wrong??

I think if your representing a company you want to do your best so I think it would help.

Same goes for representing your country. You won't turn up looking like crap.

They sponsor you because you look good in the first place, you don't look good BECAUSE they sponsor you... So IMO having a sponsor would make no difference, because unless you're already consistently putting in the work throughout, you won't get offered a sponsor in the first place... If you need a sponsor to motivate you, you definitely won't be in any shape to get offered a sponsor!

I think it helps alot as you won't be just letting yourself down.

Still baffles me how some can afford all the meds as some can run into ££££s a month.

I think you have to realise as Zues says the people who get noticed and offered sponsorship already look good and compete on some level.

I know you say its " just a few supps " but any little bit helps surely ?
