      technically, it wasn't his heart. The tear happened in his aorta which is the major blood vessel that leaves the heart to supply circulation to the rest of the body. In his case, he probably had a descending aortic dissection since these are less fatal than an ascending dissection. They can be caused by a number of factors, such as high blood pressure. I don't know Kris' BP but I'm willing to bet this incident wasn't related to cell tech
