      how much wonga would you say is a comfortable amount at the age of say 22-23 to have saved for a rainy day?

      Depends. Do you have a house to take care of? Utilities? Car? The list is endless.

      Depends when you started working. I'm 24 and had £40k saved and a BMW 335i M Sport, but just bought a house so I'm poor as f**k now and the car is going for something more economical lol.

      Im also a tight bastard!

      If your living with parents £10k a year should be easy to save.

      Assuming you have worked from age 16 approx 10% of your earnings

      16 - 18 £12k per annum (average) = £1200 x 2 = 2400
      19 - 23 £18k per annum (avergae) = £1800 x 5 = 9000

      = £11,400.00

      That is easily the funniest and stupidest comment I have ever typed

      Oh dear forgot about tax and NI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Realistically I saved £5000 by age 25 (and that was hard, wanted the money at 21 but was told to leave alone), now using it for a deposit on a house
