If you look at social media fitness related articles these days it seems that men and women seem to be getting more muscular more leaner, tanned and better looking. But yet in reality when people try to copy this they cant seem to get the same results. The truth of matter is alot of these people to get in this shape probably have done it in an unhealthy matter and at the time of the pic being taken was probably starving.
Behind closed doors the pressure of looking good for social media likes is getting to the point where image is more important than there health. Add to this the editing and filters some people use can influence some people into taking extreme measures to look good. This is unhealthy mentally as the reality is most people are not perfect and some of the images have some sort of editing. Note i say some as some people do post real images showing how some people work hard to achieve there look.
Remember your an individual and it does take time. Just dont let social media images make you feel bad about yourself as alot are fake.
Has anyone got any comments on this? Its sad some people have to fake it as it has an effect on others looking at social media.
No one is blemish free, no one is fat free no one has the perfect body. If you see a pic showing they are, its fake. Love yourself and work hard at your fitness goal. Tom

I totally agree Tom, some of the images on social media must be photo-shopped as many of the people look stunning! As you say nobody is blemish free never mind fat free.

Peer pressure can have a very negative impact on some people for for others it will make them thrive.

We have cleared out the "post your pictures" section as many images had been lost when the forum converted for the Xenforo forum software. Feel free to post your images at:-

for those wanting to post real pictures - not this airbrushed stuff we see on other sites.

No need to airbrush images - people are just cheating themselves.
