Should bodybuilders take creatine?

Some time ago I came across an article that was cautioning bodybuilders about taking creatine. it cites side effects such as muscle cramping, nausea, and problems with heart and liver functions. I have also read where it is great for muscle gain with little or n side effects. which is true?

 

Creatine can really mess up your liver if you don't drink enough water.
If you are considering taking some know that you NEED water its not just a (Ill drink a bottle or 2 and be fine)

Make sure you drink 8-10 cups a day, you dont want to take some to have gains and mess something up in your body.

For the heart? I've not heard anything like that before.

Its good for size right away. You will notice a difference from your body retaining water. yes when you stop you will lose size but you will still be bigger than when you start.

You get great strength gains while on it. I Def found a difference. I Have some concrete now that I am planning on taking, i tried size on a while back and did notice a difference but its pretty expensive so I am trying something new.

CP is a backup for ATP. It is a high-energy chemical compound stored in the muscle cell in greater quantities than ATP. With the aid of an enzyme called creatine kinase, CP splits (releasing energy and a phosphate) to provide energy to re-form ATP from ADP. Creatine kinase is stimulated by the concentration of ADP in the cell.
This provides a feedback mechanism for rapidly forming ATP from the high-energy phosphates, which allows the muscles to keep contracting until the ATP and CP levels decline to the point that the body must slow down and draw upon the lactic acid system to continue.

I never heard of it messing up your liver and all that. Creatine is really great for body building and getting your body to amazing shape. I started using it and seen amazing results from it. I will have to research it and see if thats true.

 

I really enjoy the benefits I get from taking a low amount of creatine daily, I take around 2mg as opposed to 5mg as traditionally recommended.

 

I don't think creatine would cause heart problems as long as you take it in moderation. If you take it excessively I'm sure something might happen. Not sure whether it would be the heart but something would happen inside your system.
