I can see the bright colors for the runners. I go with basic colors myself. The putrid colored garb is usually what I see on the close-out rack.

Perhaps these bright workout clothes were made that way for people who run, cycle, etc....outdoors....to be seen by cars?

People are like deer, they are attracted to the pretty colors, great marketing.

Lats and eye contact are key when in this type of confrentation! I will tell you how to survive a vicious wild animal (GOOSE) attack!

They can hit pretty hard with their beaks. Just remember to maintain eye contact (like mentioned above). That is probably the most important rule when facing down a goose (or any number of them, they like to fight in packs.) Also another important strategy is to spread your lats out, this will intimidate them. If the challenge is accepted the goose will spread its wings out as a sign to commence battle. The best way to start off the fight is to run straight at it and flap your arms while still spreading your lats (hard to do, but easily accomplished with a few weeks training.) The goose will either be scared off at this point, or ready to take you on. If the latter is true, prepare for a long fight because once a goose decided to attack, he's in it to win it.

This is 99% of the hunting market too. People are attracted to the prettiest or neatest looking camo, but it's usually never the best choice for the actual game you're hunting. Funny how that works, isn't it? Camo plays such a tiny role in hunting to begin with, and people put so much stock in it.

It's called a fashion trend. They are cyclical. Should have saved my neon fanny pack from the min 80's. I'd be so boss with it now. I have to admit I like the bright colors, looks good with a tan.
