Red meat from McDonald's and hotdogs.

Must have been the meat and not the overconsomption of calories and lack of fruits, veggies and excercise.

People who intentionally avoid red meat are health conscious. So thu watch their weight, excercise and are less likely to smoke. Self fulfilling and nothing to do with red meat.

but when you see patients everyday suffering from heart disease because they grew up thinking that consuming red meat on the daily was ok, then what do you say?

top 1-3 killers in the US: heart disease

      it actually does add up.

The heart disease charts are aligned with the obesity rate, both of which have increased sharply over the past 20 years. People who look to be in shape but suffer from heart disease almost always have a predisposed hereditary trait.

What was their activity level like? Were they overweight? Were they overconsuming calories as a whole? Processed foods? Did they get an adequate amount of fruits and vegetables? Fiber intake? Family history of disease or existing preconditions?

Saturated fat has already been debunked as a risk factor for heart disease. Until you can control for all those things listed above, you can't call red meat as a cause of anything

Finland and France has the lowest mortality rate.

They consume 7x more red meat (beef specifically) and twice as many cigarettes as the average American.

Stay away from surveys like these. Its very easy to lie and say we don't eat the 'bad' pork but we eat the 'good' beef. Its also safe to say that they sent out surveys to a bunch of old people and the 80 year olds died and the 78 year olds didn't die until 2 years later after the survey was done.
