Starting a Cut (srs) No journal. My plan of attack is to start a lifting and conditioning program aimed at maintaining strength levels while not putting a hypertrophy demand on the muscles. It's low-volume at a moderate intensity (2 sets of 5 reps at between 40% and 80% of your 1RM (estimated or actual)) with three days of moderate-intensity conditioning per week. I'm going to be cutting macros to just below maintenance levels rather than calories just because calorie counting makes me insane. The cycle will go for six weeks.

Starting a Cut (srs) Go for it! Cutting is tough....and I think that is why so few people do it....or at least successfully. Lots of guys talk all 'hardcore' yet lack the discipline to control what they stuff in their face. Controlling nutrition and manipulating it to make it do what you want, is what separates the guys who tell you they train....from the guys you know train just by looking at them.
