Ive basically got acne thats got to the point where im in pain alot of the time. i get your usual little (some not so little) spots that are red, then you sqeeze and it goes away after abit. But there theres the bad ass mother f**kers that are more like blood blisters. They are more of a deep purple amd are very sensitive and when the go its just a river of bloody gooey nastiness. Been to the docs 3 times now and he just keeps giving me oxytetracyclin which does sod all. I did ask for acutane but simply refused as he thinks it doesnt work. So now im going to a dermatologyst in 3 weeks (already been waiting 4) . What i want to know is has anyone else had it like this What is there i can do to atleast ease the annoying itching pain? And whats the chances the dermo giving.me acutane and not oxy like my doc?
serious acne.. sounds like cystic acne painful mentally more so . get some quinoderm cream from a chemist for now this will help . get on your docs case you need accutane to get rid of this .
serious acne.. already use quinoderm. seems to work for a few days then they flare up for a couple then work again and so on
serious acne.. I had similar mate and its left me with deep scars on my back and chest. If your acne is as bad as you say then the dermatologist will prescribe accutane. As for it not working, you will feel it working within the first week (dry skin, cracked lips etc).
serious acne.. OP Don't waste your time with anything else other than Accutane, cystic acne is filthy, and the deep purple 'blood blisters' as you say will leave some nasty scars. Like Ewan said, it's worse mentally than physically, and it's physically pretty bad lol I suffered with it along with more of a few other members of this board and I WISHED I had used Accutane from the start.
serious acne.. Have you tried Pantothenic acid aka vitamin b5 high dose? 2000mg per day has sorted my spots out and i had some big feckers on my chest..... was looking for the tabs I bought but this is the same and you can add it to shakes etc http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/vitamin_b5
