I've found that a lot of people on these boards argue just to argue and really try to push what they believe is the "right" way onto everyone else. In truth, there are a thousand different paths that lead from point A to point B and the very small things that you do (having a shake 5 mins after you work out or 15 minutes) really isn't going to make a world of difference and your muscles won't fall off. That being said, I would be hard pressed to actually find a successful competitor who does not have a protein shake or post work out meal OR use some sort of meal frequency/timing to meet their goals. Someone above said meal timing is irrelevant to results? Try getting in all of your macros/3,000 calories in 2 hours and tell me that wouldn't have been easier if you had spread it out over 4-5 meals at least.
