New car... strange Is it over revving on idle? It would explain why you don't need to press the accelerator pedal.
New car... strange If it's petrol this would probably explain it. Either way, I wouldn't imagine it being a problem, it might just be really low geared.
New car... strange all my cars have done this, no problem at all. its just the tick over of the engine initiating the movement, the clutch engages the turning over once you release it to the biting point, remember your car is still giving it revs if you dont touch the accelerator, to keep itself on.(something like 500rmp) thanks to this we get 'ghostriding the whip'
