Need help planning cheat day... Exactly, great post. I'm following IIFYM guidelines nutritionally anyway, I'm not CRAVING any food in particular. If I did, I would have fallen off the wagon way earlier in the week. What I'm craving is seeing friends and actually having a good time with them. I had to order a salad... I think the last few times I went out with them, and when they got margaritas I got water or diet coke. I love their company, but the jealousy of their metabolism makes me feelealbadman. I think I'll have one "**** it" day... most likely Sunday, and not be so anal about it. Maybe make it a cheat weekend or eat sensibly weekend, not sure. Thanks man. Repped.
Need help planning cheat day... So If I am down 7000 cals after 2 weeks of dieting and happen to have a unrestricted cheat day that takes me 7000 cals over maint I won't see any negative effects? Am I reading this correctly?
Need help planning cheat day... No, none at all. Unless you consider undoing 2 weeks of hard work as "negative"
Need help planning cheat day... If I'm cutting I would consider that very negative... That's my point...
Need help planning cheat day... Will take this into consideration. I essentially had a "cheat weekend" as a test last weekend, while I was still maintaining, and saw no dramatic change in body fat, body comp, or weight. For me, when I have been dieting, cheat days if anything give me more motivation the next day when I'm back on track to hit even harder. Not run 15 miles obviously, but it gives me that "time to bust ass!" mentality as opposed to "great, another day of dieting." Keeps me going for the week, you know? However, I didn't pull out any of my attempted summer cuts out too far, this is possibly a record, and I plan on keeping it up. As of now, I'm thinking keep my diet Saturday and eat sensibly on Sunday, and still get results. Leggo. Repped for sure and thanks a lot, great info/experience.
Need help planning cheat day... hahahaha. calories in > calories out. no broscience certification required for that one.
