Sure bro's do pose and priss about in front of the mirrors however, I find them an extremely good tool for perfect form.

Also, to spy the super hot chick in dance pants pointing her ass perfectly in my direction without breaking my neck.... But mostly for form.

You cannot correct poor form if you cannot see poor form.

so yes a mirror is essential, until you can have correct form and feel correct form which can only be done by using a mirror and then knowing the feeling of correct form.

      150% essential.

Have you changed your mind now @MissKaz ?
you do need to see it before you can fix it, even you said your form was totally wrong until someone who has done the hours in the gym like ceffo showed you how to train properly.

I trained for all that time in front of mirrors with a trainer telling me I was doing the right thing. Now I train without mirrors, when I compete I wont be competing in front of a mirror,I need to know what Im doing with my eyes closed and rely on muscle memory.

Yeah thats it two different things there . They have their purpose. I used to workout with them but mainly to feel more pumped and keen - i suppose if using it peeps you up more to a visual aid then yo umay strain an extra rep out so its loks killer to hehe. I havent used 1 in 1.5years though it was a big old sliding walk in wardrobe door lol
