Just been made redundant I was made redundo at the end of August, just applied for every job going since about June, heard nothing for weeks on end then got a reply and am working as a night porter in a hotel! But different from mechanical engineering but it's money, crap money, but money all the same and I've adjusted my lifestyle so the wage cut fits in with my life. On the up side I get loads of time off now which I'm not used to, so it's nice to be able to spend time doing what you want.
Just been made redundant That sucks mate, important to stay positive and not beat yourself up about it. You are just a number at the end of the day, it has nothing to do with you or what you're capable of. Remember what you're worth and keep looking for opportunities out there.
