My friend is in their 50s and determined to tone up. They have been looking through numerous websites and I am a little concerned they may be taking on too much. Do you need to exercise in a different way in your 50s than younger? Are there any specific dangers?

Old and young people build their muscles in the same way.

Yes, there are differences in building muscle in your 50s compared to younger ages.
In your 50s, factors like hormonal changes and slower recovery may impact muscle growth.
      However, with proper:
      nutrition,
      exercise, and
      adaptation to individual needs,
      significant muscle gains
are still achievable, albeit potentially at a slower pace.
