I'm still a noob. I'm repping 135 for 3x5 for bench, 180 3x5 squat, deadlifitng 240 for 1x5 etc, and I'm on week 5 of Reg Parks(SS w/ accessory). I don't like the volume, and besides my 6 weeks are almost up. I don't want to do it anymore during the school year. I have block schedule, and I have weight training on Mon-Wed-Fri.I have an hour on monday and wed to workout, while it's like 20 mins on Friday. What should I do? I have access to a good gym outside of school. I'm thinking maybe I should do a Push/pull/legs routine with a 3x5 rep scheme to progress quickly. Push would be on Mon, pull on tues, Legs on wed, and then rest for a day, and repeat. Or, I can drop Weight Training, take some uninteresting, harder class(I'm already taking 4 AP/honors), and workout outside of school, which pretty much wastes my time. help? (I can't do SS anymore. one of the reason I hate SS is because of the front squats. I obviously can't use as much weight as back squats, and It feels like a waste of time. Some say they are more quad dominant, but I feel much more MME connection with leg Press. I was repping 185 for 3x10 for 3x a week a few months back, and my legs were recovering fine. I need to back squat more. I did stall, but it was more of a mental block than anything else.)

In a conundrum, TBB, Need help nao Drop weightlifting. Focus on 4 AP Courses w/ a spare. Workout outside of school, try Lyle's. 4 days a week, ~ an hour a session.
In a conundrum, TBB, Need help nao If lifting is something you enjoy keep at it and do the push/pull/legs split. If your going for stregnth keep the lower rep ranges. And if you want to build muscle 6-10 rep range would be ideal for maximum hypertrophy.

At one point I was thinking(and still am) of Lyle's Generic Bulking Routine with a 3x5 rep scheme to get in more frequency in the gym, while still progressing like a mofo. I realized that on your 2nd leg day, you were supposed to switch in Deads for Squats. EFF THAT.

In a conundrum, TBB, Need help nao Don't change the routine. Lyle's routine is good for hypertrophy, and it has plenty of frequency at 4 times per week/ each muscle group twice a week.
