Always use separate pins and always massage. I haven't warmed up the oil before though. I'm sick of the quad injections interfering with my life. Fine if there is some pip after but when it's obvious what i'm doing and struggling to walk down stairs, and don't get me started on leg day... Just figured glutes are the way forward now.

Normally just steady the barrel with my middle finger and pull with my thumb and index.

I use a mirror to look into, works for me.
I hold my thumb against the end of the barrel and pull plunger with fingers.
