i'm currently trying to cut, i weight 144.2 and have a 12% body fat. i was following the Katch-McArdle formula in the stickied post in this forum, and i cannot get the numbers to work out to the point where i'm eating at a deficit of 500 calories a day (about 20% of my TDEE) while also getting all my macronutrients and i think i am being as efficient as i can with my food choices. so, my calculations had me needing a minimum of 157g of protein/day, 57g of fat/day and 288g of carbs/day. my TDEE came out to 2400 cals which means i'm aiming for 1900 calories a day but when i try to hit all of those numbers i end up at just under 2400 calories a day and am still 15g under my carbs minimum. i almost have to think i am doing something wrong here... i've attached a breakdown of what diet i came up with and how much everything adds up to if it helps to see.
