How many pounds of muscle can a woman gain?

I know women don't gain muscle the way men do, but how much muscle do you think it it possible for a woman to gain? I'm more specifically asking about females who have completed p90x? I've noticed I actually look much smaller at my current weight than I did before, so I was surprised I was still at this weight. Therefore, I'm wondering if I've gained some muscle.

 

I am been going through the same the thing as you. 143 is the heaviest I have ever been but I noticed that I don't look like I gained weight. When I take photos, I am thinking to myself I pretty thin to be at this weight. I work out a lot so I think I may have gained muscles, and everyone knows that muscle weighs more than fat. I think that is the case because my clothes still fit the same as when I was 135 lbs. Could muscle really wight over five pounds? I don't know I guess you and I both will have to conduct more researches on this.

There are many variables in muscle gain but women will not gain a significant amount of muscle even if all the variables (nutrition, sleep, training etc) are optimal. You will gain some muscle and burn fat, plus it is very good for your health.

 

Cris Cyborg is a female mixed martial arts fighter. She fights at I think around 145
pounds and her walk around weight is a bit heavier than this maybe 165 or 170. From her photos she is well what I would describe as 'ripped.' Virtually no fat and well geez I just wish I had her muscles. Her build is simply awesome.
How much muscle can a woman gain? With Cyborg it seems like a hell of a lot. Also some of the Ms Olympia bodybuilders, are shall I say extreme?
