      I would be interested to learn how your BMI changes with muscle tone. For example, what would the average BMI figure be for somebody who was 5 foot seven inches tall and looking for moderate to medium muscle tone?

      It might be useful to add a BMI section when members sign up so they can add their BMI and track it - but only if they feel comfortable doing this.

      Body mass index, or BMI, is a calculation based on both your height and weight. It’s often used as an indicator of whether you are a healthy weight for your height. However, BMI doesn’t take into account factors such as muscle mass, which can impact the accuracy of the BMI calculation.

      Muscle mass can influence BMI in two ways. First, muscle is more dense than fat, so someone with a higher percentage of muscle may have a higher BMI even if they are not overweight. Second, muscular people may weigh more than their non-muscular counterparts but still have a lower body fat percentage. This means that their BMI may be higher but they are not necessarily carrying excess weight.

      So how does muscle tone impact BMI? In short, it can make the BMI calculation less accurate.
