      get the RSPCA out and ask them to scan it to see if its got a micro chip and ask them to take it away

      it looks like your best bet is to shovel it into a binbag, tie a knot and then put inside another binbag and unfortyunately throw in the bin, or if you have any neighbors you hate, lob it into their garden, or if you're an animal lover, construct a small wooden boat, set it on fire and give it a vikings burial on the local canal.

      Just make sure that the burning viking boat doesn't bump into someones barge home and cause a towering inferno

      Knock a few doors mate and ask the neighbours if they know who's it is. Then if you get no joy bin it as people have Said already.
      Or if your feeling nice give a lovely burial and say a few words
