Does anyone else get sad when they see roadkill?

I always do - especially if it's fresh. I saw a porcupine going up the hill today (barely dodged one 100 meters before), and its blood was streaming down the hill. Pretty much ruined my night.

Once, I saw a dog on the side of the highway. Oh gosh, how do I stop it?

It makes me super sad especially kitties, luckily we don't see a lot of hit dogs here but i do pick them up if i see them running around.

Although, I've run over a bird once - I was turning a curve on a hill and it went "pop". I looked in the rearview mirror and saw feathers flying everywhere.

On a related note: One time I got out of my car for work and a little bird had gotten caught in my front grill. It was still alive...so awful!!!

I brake for bunnies even though i want coyotes and foxes to eat some of them

One time I was taking a girl home and I ran over a bunny, but only the back half. I could see the bunny's front half moving a bit in my mirror and the chick freaked out. I backed my car over it to put it out of it's misery.

The girl never really thought of me the same after that, not sure what else I was supposed to do I mean it was either going to die a slow death or run over it again for a quick one.

I ran over a cat one time too, came around a corner and the damn thing shot right out in front of me.

Killed lots of birds. Killed a bat too.

Never ran over a dog thank god, but I almost did the other night. I had to slam on my breaks and swerve.

used to carry a gun in my car..guess what for?
rabbits, squirrels, deer, coyotes, bunnies..if ya cant run it back over? ya gotta shoot it.

Oh jeez! That is sad.

My friend's family breeds rabbits and then eats them. They break their necks to kill them.
