      It's highly recommended that if you train at home by yourself that you don't attach the collars, that way you can tip the plates off the bar. The chest is pretty resilient but I guess it can depend on the speed it falls, the weight and the position. I would say dropping it on your neck is probably more likely in terms of death by bench press.

      Actually as someone who manages a health club with 1000+ users a day I have yet to see anyone get hurt under a bench press.

      I wish I could say the same about people having heart attacks as that is a rather common thing I really would rather not have to deal with so freqently.

      Ok, I have obviously misquoted, my apologies. What I read probably related exclusively to resistance training. Are heart attacks common? I assumed they would be in the gym, but I was led to believe that this was not the case. How do you not panic!
