Reading the news today I was saddened to hear yet another kid has died drowning but also shocked to hear a lot of adults can't swim so I was just wondering if it is a high number so can you swim if not whats the reason you won't or haven't learned to

link to news I was reading

      Can you swim

I try and take my 2 year old swimming every Saturday. Trying to teach him myself so all fun and games lol. Took him down the medium water slide last weekend. His waterproof nappy was pretty full after.

I can swim but admittedly I just don't....
Think it may have been at least 3 or 4 years since I have - not really something I enjoy as exercise or whatever. I hope if my life depended on it I'd be able to though!

I'm a good swimmer, and my kid's go every sunday, I think swimming is a vital skill to have.

I take my children regularly, my eldest can swim lengths but doesn't actually 'like' swimming, my middle daughter would be a dolphin the amount of time she spends UNDER water, but can swim unaided now, but only short distances. Hoping to get her lessons soon. and baby is 2 now and loves the water and swims just in armbands - usually shouting to everyone that she is swimming.. in case they didn't realise!
Yes, I have the annoyingly loud children in the pool.

      Can you swim

I once swam out to a buoy in lake Garda,Italy. On the way back I realised how cold/deep it was and how far it was to swim back.
Once I got to the shallow bit I realised I was too knackered to get out.
It doesn't even look very far.....

The carpet carrying look is due to the rocks and I am trying my best to balance.
