      Can you do much with £2k?

      If you know what you're doing with cars get to an auction and buy a bargain or two. Give it a full valet and new MOT and should easily make a tidy profit. Just make sure you buy something that will be easy to sell on.

      Lot of money to spend, not a lot of money in investment terms.

      Apparently batteries are a wise purchase. Mind you can get a lot with 2k. Apparently if the world does end in 2012 and there are survivers batteries will be the only viable currency.
