Got up at 5:30AM....drove an hour to pick up my 80yr old folks, who had driven up from FL....and then drove into Atlanta, to the Georgia Dome...where my first child's (a son) graduation from college, received his Bachelors Degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering degree from Georgia Tech! I'm so proud of this child...words are hard to express. He graduated from an elite school...and is in an elite group of people. Our Governor, Nathan Deal, spoke at this event...and it was really cool.

I just can't say just how proud I am of my oldest son! He had two interviews just yesterday, and has others awaiting him. He will start out...at age 23...making an approx $70K starting salary. Yes...I guess bragging...but forgive me...just a proud parent here.

We went back to my wife's house...had a fantastic cookout (I manned the grill...as always) and had a low key hamburgers, hotdogs, Italian sausages, steak Ka-Bobs, BBQ pork...and tons of other food. A great day!

      Congrats to both of you.

My oldest (21) landed a decent job at one of Canada's largest banks last year and has already had one promotion.

      I'm very proud of him.

That's fantastic man. I start college next year at a school that is basically Ivy League (they denied the invitation to Ivy League status), and I only hope to graduate and move on to be successful like your son has done for himself. Good job.

Yes, it does make one (as a dad) feel pretty damn good. We are, literally, best friends (as well as the "parent" deal, lol).

Thanks Jim, and congrats to you, too! I learned...oh, about a decade ago, that life for me is more about my kids...than it is about "me". I will do anything for my kids.

Oh, and the trifecta? All three of my kids are in college....and while they've each made the Dean's List (3.0) at different times, they all three made it this semester

As for Ryan; he's been offered a job in L.A. (CA), TX, LA...and for fields that he's excelled in during his last 4yrs of employment...that don't have anything to do with his major! He's been writing programs (computer) for numerous client companies, while at a Fortune 50 company. He is amazing.
