Tonight, I received news that my childhood friend and neighbour has died of bowel cancer. She has a daughter of 11 weeks old.

She was diagnosed in april and given 2 years to live. She only lasted 9 weeks and she was 29 years old.

I was stressing out earlier about having to rest my back for a few days. What a cvnt.

Put everything in perspective doesn't it guys?

Thats terrible mate! My brother had it a couple of years ago and still has a stomer bag, its a cancer that they have a lot of success with when treated quickly which makes it all the more sad your friend succumbed to it!

Im really sorry you lost your friend. xx

Horrible news. At 29 years old too. Far too young. :(

Sorry to hear that. It's always horrible to hear, especially when the person is so young themselves.

Very sad to hear. Puts my chronic toothache in to perspective also.

Bowel cancer is becoming more and more prevalent and it's something that we are all at risk from. As stated above it has one of the highest survival rates if detected early. Unfortunately people are often too embarrased to get checked out
