I'm struggling to afford my food with the amount of chicken and eggs and carbs I should be eating... Any tips on getting what I need cheaper?

Bulk buying meat could help you save a little, If you don't have a protein powder in your diet you can add one it will be cheaper gram for gram than the chicken.

Depends where your getting it from and how much you need. What's your current diet like?

Buy your chicken whole mate, costs around £2.05 to £2.10 a kilo, then cut it into portions yourself. A whole medium chicken is about £2.85 to £3.10, Lidl and Asda is good.
If you are unsure about cutting chicken look for gordon ramsay doing it on youtube. If you only want breasts use the thighs, wings and drumsticks for other family members if you have family.

Lidl are cheap for eggs, asda do trays of 30 for £3.10.
