      I got a quick question...
Does the weight actually count whether you got 5 reps or 8 reps?
      For example..
Today I had a pretty bad Chest day, I lost about 3 reps on my incline and flat db press..
Last week I hit 8 reps and this week I hit about 5-6 with the same weights, but the thing is it was still the ''max'' I could do, the 5th rep felt like last week's 8th rep, does that mean that I got basically the same workout intensity since I went to failure? or does the rep loss actually affects how the muscle responded?

      -Thank you

Lets see: you think you got the same workout results if last time you got 8 and now 5? Common sense is not so common.

But I felt the same ''exhaustion'' if you call it that..in the muscle, therefore I reached my max capacity..try to see it from another angle..

You may have reached you max capacity but if you used the same weight, same sets, same rest times, etc (meaning all the same than before workout) but you managed to get less reps than you did before, then the stress you put on the muscle this session is lower than last sessions.

If the stress was lower I wouldn't have stopped at 5.

      Once a week.
I was supposed to hit it yesterday but the gym was closed therefore I took an extra day of rest.
