i was reading about this, don't have too much detail apart from the fact the guy was a drug dealer crack cocaine I think, and also dealt in firearms, anyway he was shot 6 times, a video was released but not one officer shouted "hands up" or "don't move", they said he was reaching for a weapon however it was later found out this was complete bull****, (bearing in mind there were weapons in the car). im not saying azelle was a good guy, but the discussion here is with regards to police brutality, not being given a chance? I would have been happier if the guy was in jail, not shot dead without even having a chance to put his hands up or surrender and admit his crimes, anyone feel the same way? is it the law? are we in a police state? are we more and more like a middle eastern state covered up by "democracy" ?
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? oh god hear we go with another i hate the pigs thread.
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? Killing is horrible at any time but he chose his path-three firearms were recovered in that car and they were on there way to carry out violence to someone-sorry for his family but not him-if you reach for a weapon when an armed cop is there you know your gonna get shot-its real life not the movies and the cops need to act in a split second-sad but he knew the risks-coppers justified imoa.
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? If you read the reports they was following then for 3 days under surveillance. The flat was used for producing crack. And they were armed. I'm no fan of the police but if it was me in that position and I thought I was just about to get shot I'd shoot first. Rather than ask nicely to put your hands up.
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? its a difficult one. put urself in the cops place for a sec guns were in the car, guys a known weapons dealer and is likely strapped. if at any point i felt someone was gonna draw a gun id have to shoot first and deal with the consequences later. im not risking being killed myself
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? I dont care what happens to someone dealing firearms.
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? Fcuk him. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? ok fair enough, looks like we have a conclusion
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? If he dealt in arms then we are all better off with out him I say that police man did the right thing I would of done the same only emptied the full mag into him
azelle rodney inquest/inqury, police brutality/overkill? He aint the only gun-toting 'badman on road'... Soon as one get his head lick off.. There's always another f*ckwit ready to carry on the f*ckry..
