Ok i've seemed to always be naturally good at benching and i wanna give you guys basic tips. First off- if you totally suck have some one spotting you, if not it will get ugly. If you're lifting heavy also have a spotter. A spotter is someone watching over you while you lift, for safety reasons. -Have good form, keep your hands at an equal distance on the bar Proper Breathing is the most important thing to doing more reps. -while you are all set about to lift the bar, please take a deep breath and hold that breath to keep oxygen in your muscles. Then you want to hold it as you bring it down to your chest.(Only on you first rep) Exhale while when you push it up, inhale while you are down. Repeat the technique as you go. Youll feel a nice burst. If you are just begining i recommend starting at 135lbs which is two 45 plates and the bar alone is 45 as well. Make sure you complete 10 reps in 3 set so 30 all together. If you cant achieve 10 at 135 then go lower. Keep building up once you feel your improvement.(Building up in weight between sets) Last year my one rep max was 225 now i can throw that up about 5 times. That was back in march when we had our test for football. Good luck benchers. FYI guys that were roasting on the breathing technqiue i made an error.i just updated it.
anyone need bench press tips? so wrong; giving breathing advice, and you have it backwards. most people cant even start off with 135lbs, so it wouldnt make sense to jump to tht if they can't do it; 10 reps isnt neccesary for benching, gtfo with ur bro science enjoy the red phaggot
anyone need bench press tips? lmao I just pictured someone breathing in on the concentric of a heavy ass rep... oh lawd
anyone need bench press tips? You mad bro? If i started my first time doing 20 reps of 135 then let that be. Thats just the standard my coach had begun with. I was on jv at the time. My breathing technique works very well and you're upset because i am sharing that.

anyone need bench press tips? u mad that u started at a higher bench than me, and tht i can rep ur max easily now?
