If its just cals in vs cals out? I would think it would have an impact on body composition but alot of people say no? Dont know if I buy that...

Why do you not eat 200g fat when cutting then? As long as cals are the same?

      da fuq you talking about?

You're going to have to compensate somewhere as 200g of fat is already 1800 calories. So if it forces you to eat inadequate protein, it will affect body comp. If it forces you into low carb, which in turn affects your gym performance, it can affect body comp.

... protein builds muscle, you would turn into a stick with no muscle, plus im sure there would be a heart attack from all the cholesterol youd be taking in

You should go ahead and try it for a couple of months and then report back your results.

Assuming you are cutting on around 2000-2500 calories, it would be impossible to hit your protein intake daily if you eat that much fat. It goes deeper than simply calories in v calories out

theoretically you can do it, but lets do our math here: 200gr of fat alone are 1800 calories. The average Joe cuts at around 2000-2500 cals. So you have 500-700 cals remaining. To get enough protein you have to eat literally zero carbs. Which is not something sustainable, performance suffers, energy levels are low etc. Keto diets are not for everyone

Im only asling because its something thats preached on this forum...

      Jimmie status: ( ) rustled (X) unrustled

I see what your saying about the cut...then use a bulk for example..if I ate 150g fat daily on a bulk I could personally still hit carb and protein macros...but I would gain no more fat then if I were to eat say 50g only?

If you are eating less calories than your burn, the question becomes: "why WOULDNT you lose weight"?
