First I have HORRIBLE genetics...I can gain FAT like Oprah...I have been having real issues with my Tri's getting bigger and feel I have to work twice as hard on them to get anywhere....

Im looking for a good TRI workout plan to really add some bulk to my tris and have em POP....

How often should I hit them...

      HELP a bro out

Is it possible you're maybe trying too hard? Lay off them a bit if you think so. But otherwise stick to compounds for big growth. Bench, overhead press, floor press, close grip bench etc...

Triceps don't necessarily pop, naturally. They are a flat muscle and usually need some assistance to really stand out.

I know my triceps sucks, and I got elbow pains too. I change it up often and you gotta hit them heavy.

I'm right there in the same boat with you. This offseason I have been taking a compleatly different approach to my tricep routine, mostly different movement, patterns, times. I have some epicondalitis issues that I've never let full heal so the different movement allow less stress on the joints and allow me to increase weight. Switch it up.

Currently I hit them twice, first day of the week and before my chest routine. Arms routine starts with lying cable extensions (lie down backwards on a cable row bench and perform cable tricep extensions), hold the humerous slightly out and peaks the tricep at a different angle, then dips for volume (no weight, slow movement a a junk load of reps to failure, currently hitting about 25-30 at a body weight shy of 280). Then I'll go to standing strait bar cable press downs making sure a hit a full range and a good stretch on the top part of the movement, than lastly finish with some lying dumbell single arem tricep extensions across the body.

I was genetically blessed with tri's (but not so in the calves). What I have found helps most with clients however are close grip bench and bench in general. Some general assistance can be done with pushdowns but close grip bench is the key focus IMO.

I found that my tris responded well when I trained them once a week.i train bis and tris together.for me close grip bench press on the smith machine and scull crushers work awsome.

My tris were a weak part that over the years have become pretty decent. What worked the best for me was dips. Early on, dips were difficult, but now I do weighted dips with a decent amount of weight. I've found that to help the best with building mass.

Having said that, large tris without the details don't look like much. I like to do cable pushdowns and really squeeze hard at the bottom as a good finishing exercise.

I don't even train tri's because they blow out of proportion. I also have short arms so tri's come into play in all my presses. If I were to say one single exercise that blows up my tri's the most it would be Dips, next would be Close-grip bench press with an EZ curl bar. I also do 5 sets of 15,10,5,3,1 after a warm-up and stretch between sets.
