      As we all know, insulin inhibits fat loss - a heap of counter-productivity for those of us looking to cut up. My question is after a large insulin spike, how long is fat loss inhibited? Does your body hit the brakes on fat loss for hours following an increase in insulin? I have searched long and hard for an answer to this question and I can't find anything so I'd appreciate serious respondents only. Thanks!

      I have not seen human studies, the last one published in late 2012 on cockroaches stated 2:15. Thanks for the update.

      Actually, it does. If I was to drink an energy drink, I'd like to do it with enough time in advance to not hinder fat loss during my workout.

      Drinking an energy drink will hinder fat loss period. If your goal is to lose fat, you should only be taking in complex carbs for breakfast and PWO.

      Energy drinks are pure sugar and will always hinder fat loss. Drink black coffee.
