      I was wondering about all of your opinions on tea. Just got into it and ordered some organic green tea, white tea and some yerba mate. Im most interested in the yerba mate as ive read it has caffeine, antioxidants, minerals and even amino acids. And got some green and white tea as they are healthy also. Im going to start drinking some in the morning before my runs instead of some other supplements ive been taking, trying to be more healthy and natural. So do you guys drink tea? If so whats your favorite and when do you take it?

      Tea is great! I drink a lot of it. I still prefer coffee but tea won't stain your teeth. I like green the best but I'll really drink any kind... Valerian root tea is great if you have trouble sleeping. It smells like old gym socks dry but smells/tastes fine when brewed. It helps me a lot with getting to sleep. I work nights so my sleep schedule is crazy sometimes.

      ^really? I might have to check that out as sometimes i have trouble sleeping or will wake up in the middle of the night (worst **** ever). Have to look into it

      Chamomile tea is also good for that as well.

      Drink my own blends of tea every day bruv. Right now my tea cabinet has 5 varieties of loose green tea, and about 15 other herbs, then 7 preblended varieties which were gifted to me ^_^ There's a natural foodstore a stone's throw from my house (and caddy corner to my gym). Here's a link if you want to research a decent compilation of different herbs and their common uses and effects. (whether you go so far as to make your own blends is up to you, but it might also help with further preblended purchases). Sláinte!

      For sleep/rest issues, Valerian root is ok, chamomile is a classic go-to, and I would also recommend lavender, jasmine, rose, or I personally find hibiscus soothing. Also, as far as caffeine content, green tea has quite a bit less than most blacks. You can also brew a tea with the loose herbs aforementioned, keep them in how water by your bedside to act as an incense or potpourri, or rub them on/put them in your pillowcase (however, I would recommended getting a sock or other baglike cloth and making an eyebag)
