Does anyone else think that it's wrong and slightly disrespectful that they have the closing ceremony prior to the paralympics starting?

Would like to hear other people's views on this but it feels to me that now the main event is over, journalists and the public don't seem to have much interest in the paralympics.

In theory the ParaOlympics is a whole seperate event, so the opening anf closing ceremonies are for the Olympics, i see what you mean, but they are different events.

I said this from the start it's part of my dislike of the Olympics apart from it's cash hungryness to effectively whore itself out for revenue through sponsorship at the like.

I don't see why they aren't intergrated into one bigger event and use the high profile of the Olympics to increase the exposure of the Paras.

Personally it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
