ok this is probably gonna make me look like a right plank(even more so than usual) but i'm gonna ask

you eat a load of fatty food without doing any training, well in excess of your daily maintenence ckals you put on a load of fatty weight...

you train but do a dirty bulk so put on a combo of muscle and fat..

you do a lean bulk and put on mostly muscle..

what if you did the cleanest bulk possible, well in excess of your maintenence ckals but you don't train at all, what weight do you put on? it's not muscle because you're not training and it's not fat because the ckals are clean so what would the extra weight consist of?

      question...

it would be fat u t1t

your body (in the abscence of training stimulus) can make fat out of fat, carbs, protein, alcohol - its very resourceful

any excesst food to required growth/repair/replacement processes gets stored

      question...

Depends what you're eating, as to whether you put on fat.

Also depends on your definition of clean kcals.

      question...

yeah that sounds about right, thanks.

currently bulking and need to have a couple of weeks off, was hoping i could get away with 2-3 weeks of 4500 clean ckals without training and get away with it, sigh.

      question...

You body does no differentiate what you are eating. Eat too much protein, in excess of your calorific needs and i will be stored as fat. Too much of anything causing a surplus in your body will be stored.

      Stupid question was exceedingly stupid

      question...

this is actually where the myth of muscle turning to fat comes from

big muscle guy stops training.............muscle slowly begins to atrophe .................he, used to eating 5000 kcal a day - carries on.....he gets fatter because he is not utilising the energy for training or tissue regeneration as his LBM drops.....myth began
