I'm trying to bulk up and add some mass. Diet and training are on point and I'm gaining about .5 lbs a week with my surplus. Here is my issue, I'm worrying about getting enough sleep to receive gains. This worry about getting my sleep at night has in turn made me unable to sleep at night (lol) and has made me an insomniac out of the blue. I've never had trouble sleeping before or anything of the sort. It's 100% mental. I have more then enough time to get my rest at night. How the hell can I fight my mind and make myself not worry about this and just carry on? Jesus, sometimes if it's not one thing it's another. Thanks in advance.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? How much sleep are you currently getting? I function fine on ~6hours a night.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? It's not a matter of not being tired enough, it's a mental game in my head of "getting enough" where that alone will keep me awake.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? Quality of sleep is horrible because I will wake up constantly because of this and won't be able to get back to sleep. I probably average about 6 but it's horrible quality.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? Just try relax a bit more. Don't try force yourself to sleep. Are you eating right before bed? If I eat a heavy meal before bed it can sometimes disturb my sleep. Is there any need to get up early? If not, just rest with the fact, the later you go to sleep, the later you will wake.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? Nope, the window before bed and eating is quite large > 2 hours. I don't have to be up early at all. Maybe it's time i go see a psychiatrist.
Mental block while bulking, can anyone help? Flog the dolphin, read a book, play sudoko. Just let your mind relax and wander.
