Christ man, it's very simple. Calories in must be less than calories out. THAT'S how calorie burning works. If you really want to avoid overdoing your calories at the buffet, do some cardio before or after. Maybe even some weights. Doesn't matter when you eat your calories.

Lift before hand. Build an appetite for your pre planned binge. Go all out.

Besides, running after eating on the scale your planning would be puke city. Who knows, some people have decreased appetite after heavy lifting... Maybe you're one?

i wouldnt recommend cardio after a huge meal, but if you're going to lift....eat, then lift. you're gonna be strong as hell and might set a few PRs

Workout before. If you're actually going to gorge then 2 hours won't be sufficient time and you'll probably feel like **** and end up skipping your workout.

As for gaining weight: You won't gain anything back in a day. The surplus has to be reasonably large and quite consistent for you to gain quickly. One day will probably put 4+ pounds on you from sheer food volume, water retention, bloat, etc. That's just temporary if you're going to continue to cut.

Also, I wouldn't worry about burning a lot of calories. The amount of calories you're going to eat is probably going to be a lot and no amount of exercise will help offset it, so I wouldn't kill yourself with exercise. Just do your normal workout and go enjoy yourself. Don't purposefully binge to the point of pain. Eat until your content.

Go to the buffet before your workout. Intense exercise can temporarily suppress appetite and you may not get your money's worth, OP.

where do we begin? honestly the guys above we're answering your question.

ANYWAYS - "gorge myself then wait for me to digest for about 2 hours (so i dont throw up what i ate) then hit the gym like crazy?
whichever one is your answer i gotta say im also afraid of gaining a lot weight back" -- DON'T GORGE YOURSELF! FFS!

"so should i lift or run for maximum calorie burning" - Helps to know what your goal is. Sounds like it's losing weight....so lets go to the buffet, eat a tiny more than normal, have some low fat ice cream as a reward....and get back in the gym and do your program. ie. hopefully BOTH
